Leon Buche & Leona Heine - Zeit zu träumen

Release 2024/06/21
Leona Heine and Leon Buche are two singer/songwriters from Brandenburg (Germany), who met in 2023 through the German Music Council and have been making music together ever since. They both share their classical past as well as their absolute dedication to writing good, authentic German pop songs and lyrics.

Leona Heine grew up in Berlin and Brandenburg and was only five years old when she received music school training in guitar and singing. She began writing her own songs in her early teens. She had her first major successes in the nationwide competition "Jugend musiziert", where she was twice awarded first national prize in the rock/pop singing category (2010 and 2013). A special award from the AMA Music Publishers (2013) followed. In 2016 she was the musical ambassador for the Brandenburg Day in Hoppegarten. In 2017 she won the musician award "Song of the Year" at the German Music Song Contest with her single "Wolkenschloss". In addition to her music studies, she served several times as chairwoman of the youth jury at "Jugend musiziert" - a matter close to her heart. In September 2024 she can also be heard as the opening act on the "It's Always Someone Awake" tour for former Eurovision Song Contest singer Ela (Elaiza).

Leon Buch's compositional activity began in early childhood. At the age of 8, he was accepted as the youngest student at the Berlin University of the Arts in composition, and a year later as a young student in piano at the Hanns Eisler University of Music. He celebrated his first media success at the age of 10 with his Harry Potter Symphony, which earned him explosive TV appearances on ORB Jahresrückblick, ZDF Querstraße and ARD, among others. In 2005, 2006 and 2008 he won a total of 4 first federal prizes in the "Jugend Musiziert" federal competition in the piano solo and song accompaniment categories.
His pianistic breakthrough finally followed in 2011 as first prize winner of the Chopin Competition in Rome, which brought him concerts and tours in Italy, China, Japan, the USA and Egypt. Only a short time later, prizes followed in the "Top Of The World" piano competitions in Tromso (Norway), the "Grand Prix De Piano" in Cannes, the Panama City Piano Competition, as well as a total of 27 other international piano competitions.

Leon Buche has been working as a songwriter for Universal Publishing since 2017 and has worked as a composer, author and co-writer for well-known acts such as Emilio, Glasperlenspiel, DieLochis and Phela. He was also responsible for numerous arrangements for the musical shows by TUI Cruises, AIDA Cruises and Royal Caribbean Int. in which he also took part as musical director (including on Mein Schiff 1).
As a singer, he first attracted attention on the casting shows DSDS (Top 20) and Das Supertalent, where he made it to the final in 2017 with his own song.
