Kaj Pousár - Lonely Is The Word

Release 2023/04/21
On April 21, Kaj Pousar drops his own take on Black Sabbath's 'Lonely Is The Word'. It follows the album 'Nine Lives' and cover of Dio's classic 'Don't Talk To Strangers'. His melodious hard rock and strong voice have been buzzed about around the world and he has made successful performances at the Global Rock Summit 2022 in Los Angeles, praised on blogs and in printed Sweden Rock Magazine. The singles 'Don't Stay', 'One Chance' and 'Femme Fatale' showed class as well as songwriters and singers. This summer, the album will be released on vinyl and new own material will be written in 2023.

But before that, just a few months after his debut, he's back with two primordial covers. He says: "'Lonely Is The Word' gave me goosebumps when I listened to it for the first time and after all these years it is just as strong for me, so it feels great to finally get to pay tribute to it with my own version."

With him on his journey, Kaj has friends who have believed in his music and shared his vision: drummer Andreas Habo Johansson (Narnia, Magnus Uggla, Rob Rock, Hollywood Monsters, Royal Hunt, etc.), guitarist Mats Valentin (Santana, Sting), bassist Thomas Blindberg (Magnus Uggla, Harpo, Michael Bolton, Kylie Minogue), strings by Grammy winner Carl Utbult and producer is as usual Samuel Waermö (Bon Jovi, John Farnham etc) who also plays keys and sings backing vocals. The song is mixed by Stefan Glaumann (Rammstein, Backyard Babies, Thåström).

Kaj began his solo career in Swedish with songs that played on several radio stations around Sweden. The debut album 'Livet' was released in 2012. In autumn 2014, the single 'Egen Staty' duet with Tone Norum was released. He has toured as an opening act for Legends Of Rock (Bobby Kimball (ex-Toto), Fergie Fredriksen (ex-Toto), Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow), Bill Champlin (Chicago). In spring 2022 he performed at the Global Rock Summit 2022 (Musexpo 2022) in Los Angeles and made a success with top musicians in an American band in front of the world's music industry.
