"Federleicht" was partly inspired by "Ruth-Maria Thomas' novel "Die schönste Version" ("The Most Beautiful Version"), which offers a nuanced perspective on destructive relationships and the experiences of those affected by them. KIALA captures this same emotional conflict in her song: Why is it sometimes so difficult to let go of someone, even when the relationship is no longer good for us?

"If it were easy to leave, very few people would stay." This idea lies at the heart of "Federleicht". Rather than offering simple answers, the song encourages a deeper understanding of why people remain in difficult--and sometimes even abusive--relationships. KIALA's intention is not to assign blame, but to foster empathy and create space for a conversation about a topic that is still far too often left unspoken.

"Federleicht" marks the beginning of KIALA's new EP project, supported by Initiative Musik, which is scheduled for release in autumn 2026. Combining intimate storytelling with modern German pop and electronic influences, KIALA has already attracted significant attention with her previous releases.
