Rain Diary (FIN) - Black Weddings
Release 2017/09/22
Electronically rocking, with the courage to be fragile, but at the same time with a thrilling drive and an excellent, well-measured and therefore unaccommodating hook sense: this is how Finland's RAIN DIARY present themselves on their new album "Black Weddings".
The band's name and origin make it obvious: Despite its beauty, this longplayer is not particularly cheerful. The native evergreen coniferous forests, the snow-covered nature, all this leaves traces without letting RAIN DIARY walk on the usual Finn Rock paths.
Instead, the band packs extremely clever pop elements into their sound and should therefore also appeal to fans from IAMX to Depeche Mode. RAIN DIARY themselves appropriately call their style #WINTERWAVE.
