"Held" is more than just a music collective; it's a testament to the enduring power of creative synergy that was sparked on the bustling streets of Liverpool.
"Held" is more than just a music collective; it's a testament to the enduring power of creative synergy that was sparked on the bustling streets of Liverpool during their university days. It was in this thriving and musically charged city that Shell Harris, Oliver Nagy, and Alex Dop serendipitously crossed paths. Their shared passion for music forged an unbreakable bond, laying the foundation for this extraordinary trio.
Their songwriting and music seamlessly melds intricate electronic soundscapes with captivating pop melodies, complemented by the transcendent quality of their gender bending vocals. "Held" isn't just about songs; it's an emotional journey, evoking feelings from euphoria to introspection.
The debut, 5-track EP introduces their voice to the world, taking the listener on a journey through a dream state, from the lucid first track, "Sing Me To Sleep", through a hazy world, culminating in the epic lead single "Something Beautiful".
"Held" crafted their sound and produced the EP in the vibrant heart of London's creative hub, Hackney Wick, within the confines of Michelle and Alex's studio, aptly named "The Inscape."
